They're easy to prepare, made from ingredients we typically already have on hand, and they're just delicious! Wednesday nights are often spaghetti nights and what goes better with spaghetti than meatballs?! Spaghetti and turkey meatballs are a perfect example of a frugal weeknight meal!In a little over 30 minutes, I can have a homemade meal on the table that my kids typically gobble up. And since I'm making my turkey meatballs from scratch, I know I'm feeding them fewer preservatives and other questionable ingredients than if I were to buy frozen meatballs or bottled pasta sauce. It's a win-win situation for your waistline and your wallet!Sure to Please Turkey ChiliHere is an oh-so-easy and sure to please turkey chili that will make even the pickiest eaters gobble it up! Just omit the beans if you have a fickle crew like mine. It isn't heavily seasoned due to being tailored to my kids' tastes. Adding a dash of cayenne pepper or hot sauce will liven it up nicely.I like to use diced tomatoes, but if you have texture issues or want a smoother chili just use crushed. One of the best things about this recipe is I typically have all these ingredients on hand! It is so easy to pull together and will warm you up on a chilly night!Taco CasseroleHow about a taco casserole for Taco Tuesday? This meal is a staple around my house, but plain old tacos aren't very warm and filling on a chilly night. Switch it up a little with my hearty taco casserole! Get your taco fix and stay warm friends!Kick it up a notch and add rotel style tomatoes and chiles for a spicier kick or add a layer of your favorite beans. This would also pair well with a salsa topping! This simple recipe is so versatile! Chopped bell pepper, jalapeno, would also make nice additions. We keep our main dishes fairly mild for our little kiddos, but feel free to spice it up to your own taste!Tuesday Night TacosTuesday night tacos are a favorite at my house. I joke that I would be fired if I skipped it, but they might all leave me and go out for tacos if I failed to follow through. No joke. This is a super recipe I use ground turkey with and it never disappoints. The lime vitality oil just takes the flavor to a whole new level.Monday Night Turkey MeatloafMonday night turkey meatloaf is another staple at our house. We have it at least twice a month, and sometimes on Sundays. Mommy likes to switch it up every now and then! It pairs well with roasted veggies or mashed potatoes and salad.It would also work nicely in stuffed bell peppers. It is a very frugal, healthy meal option I always try to have the ingredients on hand to make. It works well when you need to throw something together quickly and then get stuff done while it bakes.I highly recommend you try my Monday night turkey meatloaf, especially if you have picky eaters in your family. Both of my kids love this dish, even the one who isn't a fan of meat yet!Frugal and Healthy Chicken FajitasChicken fajitas are an excellent dinner option when you want something frugal and healthy on the table in under 30 minutes! This meal pairs well with salad, chips and salsa, or a refried bean or even a bean salad.My six-year-old loves chicken fajitas. They are a summertime favorite at my house; quick and easy to put together and not too filling if you don't load up with sides we love to eat some chicken fajitas before heading outside to play til the sun goes down on a nice summer evening. Sheet Pan Chicken and VeggiesTry my sheet pan chicken and veggies for a wonderfully healthy dinner! Use seasonal vegetables to make this a year-long favorite meal! In the summer I like to use yellow squash, zucchini, bell pepper, scarlet pearl tomatoes, and baby carrots. In the fall and winter months pair with butternut squash, brussels sprouts, or your other favorite veggies. Potatoes work great in this dish year-round; they make it more filling and frugal!Topping sheet pan chicken and veggies with feta makes it a lot more enjoyable getting the kids to eat their veggies as well. I get my picky six-year-old to eat her veggies almost every time with this dish! Easy Pizza SauceIt is exactly what it says it is; easy! This is such an easy pizza sauce once you make it the first time you pretty much have it mastered! We make it every Friday night. Easy Pizza DoughThis is such an easy pizza dough recipe and it never fails! Like the sauce, we use it every week.
