We recently got an air fryer. I've been researching and tweaking recipes to make them my own. This easy chicken taquito recipe has quickly become a family favorite at our house. Batch cook and freeze for easy meal planning.

Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Farenheit. Season chicken as desired (use your favorite premixed taco seasoning if you don't want to mix your own spices). Place on parchment fryer in air fryer. Cook for around 12 minutes, turn over. Cook for 12 more minutes or until cooked through.
Combine salsa verde, shredded cheese, and cream cheese in a bowl. Mix well. After the chicken is cooked, remove it from the air fryer basket and shred. Combine shredded chicken with the sauce and cheese mixture.
Spoon the mixture into warm tortillas. Fill in a line down the middle. Fold tortilla over and roll tight. Line the air fryer with parchment paper and place a single layer of taquitos in the basket. Spray lightly with the avocado oil.
Cook for 4 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Pull out the basket and turn the taquitos over with tongs. Place the basket back in the air fryer and cook for another 4 minutes at 375 degrees. Taquitos should be crispy and golden brown, but not burned. After a few batches, you may need to lower the time to prevent taquitos from being too crispy.
Top with sour cream, guacamole, or pico. more cheese... Enjoy! Cook a double batch and freeze the leftovers for a quick meal or snack later.
