This is a great article highlighting all the things being sustainable/eco-friendly is aside from politics and the environment. It used to just be considered fugal and responsible to live sustainably. It’s also better for your wallet AND health. I love how this article looks past all the scare tactics and just talks about how a more sustainable lifestyle just makes plain sense. And it really always has.
BUYING TO DISCARD IT – (HOW ABOUT RECYCLING) – GOATDOG SIMPLE
In this post, Ana talks about how much we throw out that could be donated or recycled. Even those of us who do recycle probably throw-away items that could easily be recycled. I know we’ve upped our own recycling game lately and it definitely makes a difference in how often I have to take out the trash. There is even a link to information on how you can properly recycle items. This post breaks it down and shows how simple it would be to donate or recycle some of that “trash” we see on the curb every week.

This post makes a great argument that we should treat every day like Earth Day. Making more conscious choices one day a year isn’t going to cut it. There are even suggested changes to implement every day.

This post is a great resource. All seven of these activities can be done more than just on Earth Day as well! Shopping sustainable businesses and supporting environmental organizations should be done year-round. It’s a great starting point.
